“CEMAB-USA Condemns Misinformation And Disinformation Targeting H.E. Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s Character And Citizenship”
Coalition to Elect Mahamudu Bawumia, CEMAB-USA strongly condemns the deliberate spread of misinformation and disinformation targeting the character and nationality of His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia by the grotesque and perverse opposition and its cohorts. The malicious campaign against Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, aimed at tarnishing his impeccable credentials, not only seeks to undermine his integrity and reputation, but also poses a threat to the truth and the values he stands for as a natural born citizen of the Republic of Ghana.
CEMAB-USA is aware of the arrogant and pretentious nature in which his opponent and their apparatchiks are seeking to denigrate the highest office of the land, which coincidentally they desire to occupy. Therefore, it is with great concern that we observe the spread of false narratives, baseless allegations, and fabricated stories surrounding H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s nationality and character.
These actions by his opponents are not only unethical and reprehensible, but they also have severe consequences for their candidates and their blood thirsty surrogates who have no respect for the Ghanaians. CEMAB-USA is compelled to address this issue and advocate for responsible and ethical communication that informs rather than misinforms and disinforms as a campaign strategy. This approach does not address the bread-and-butter issues that Ghanaians deserve, but only seeks to deceive, manipulate, and sow discord among the general public and the entire Ghanaian population, as they have gained notoriety in failing to advance the development of our beloved country.
As responsible Ghanaians, we urge our fellow citizens to be discerning consumers of information and to critically evaluate the sources and validity of claims before accepting or spreading them. It is crucial to distinguish between legitimate criticism based on facts and evidence and malicious intent aimed at character assassination.
The dissemination of false information about Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to undermine his body of work and earned reputation in the minds of citizens will not succeed but will expose the opponent’s credibility deficit and the mistrust that hampers their ability to make informed decisions and policies. CEMAB-USA seizes this opportunity to remind his opponents that it is our collective responsibility to uphold the principles of truth, fairness, and integrity in public discourse as a priority we owe Ghanaians.
At this critical juncture, we call upon media organizations, social media platforms, and responsible citizens to be wary of such clandestine and vituperative plans hatched by those seeking to oppose and to tarnish the image of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Instead, let us join forces to combat this dangerous trend, all in the name of scoring cheap political points. Coalition to Elect Mahamudu Bawumia, CEMAB-USA is committed to raising awareness about the dangers of misinformation and disinformation and will actively work towards promoting truth, accountability, and responsible communication. Lastly, Coalition to elect Mahamudu Bawumia, CEMAB-USA calls on the good people of Ghana to rigorously fact-check the deceitful opponents and hold those irresponsible individuals or groups who deliberately engage in paid fear-mongering profession to spread falsehoods, misinformation, and disinformation accountable.
