Boat capsize: 9 pupils confirmed
Following the capsize of a boat carrying nine kids to school on May 10th, nine deaths have been officially confirmed.
According to reports, the schoolchildren were traveling from Faana to Kelee in the Greater Accra Region’s Ga South Municipality.
According to our correspondent Joseph Armstrong on Thursday, they ranged in age from 8 to 15.
After a hurried search by concerned adolescents on Thursday morning, the body of the ninth child was found.
Three students escaped the accident, according to Joseph Armstrong and Christian Afiadenyo, the Municipal Director of the National accident Management Organization (NADMO).
Since the tragedy, the town has been in a state of mourning.
