A/R: Awodwo primary school closed over open defecations issues
Atwima-Ahodwo elementary and junior high schools in the Ashanti region’s Atwima Nwabiagya Municipality have been shuttered for nearly a week, according to Kessben News.
The fundamental reason for the closure of the school had been the persistent open deification in the school which has made teachers practically impossible to discharge their duties.
Checks revealed the seeming chieftaincy rivalries in the township have slowed development in Atwima Ahodwo.
The authorities in the area appear to care less about the situation of the school which has eventually led to the school be closed down.
Many people have attributed the lack of growth in the area on chieftancy difficulties.
