Kumasi Traders’ meeting with Ashanti Regional minister postponed
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah scheduled meeting with traders of the Adum Business Community on, Thursday, October 13, 2022 lasted for only an hour.
The meeting which was held at the Ashanti regional coordinating council had to be postponed to Friday 14th October 2022.
The meeting was necessitated following the ongoing protest by the traders, who have been bitterly lamenting over what they describe as high taxes on their businesses by Government.
In the last 4 days, many stores at the central business in Kumasi have not opened their shops protesting against the high taxes imposed on their business.
The Ashanti regional minister, Hon Simon Osei Mensah has apparently met with the Ghana Revenue Authority over the claims by the traders.
