Bibiani Clash: One person dies from gunshot (Video)
One person has been reported dead at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi after he suffered a gunshot from the clash between the Bibiani youth and some traditional authorities.
The Bibiani Youth in the Western North Region were allegedly attacked by some armed men with the order of some traditional leaders after the unemployed youth called on Mensin Gold Limited, a new mining firm to pick some of their workers from their unemployed youth in Bibiani.
Last week Wednesday 20th July 2022, officials of Mensin Gold Limited together with some traditional council members of the Bibiani were present at the premises of the mining firm to perform customary rites before taking off with full operation but unfortunately, the rites could not be held as confusion sparked leading to many injured.
Many of the irate youth sustained serious injuries during the clash with the armed men who shot at the youth.
Some of the injured were transported to the Komfo Anokye teaching hospital in Kumasi for treatment.
The youth leader, Nana Kwame speaking on Kesseben FM’s Breaking News with Nyakoh Abronomah on Monday 25th July 2022 confirmed that one of the injured who was admitted at Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital has passed away.
