Hon Kennedy Agyapong donate $100,000 to GAF for the training of medical officers in India
The Member of Parliament for Assin Central constituency in the Central Region of Ghana, Honourable Kennedy Agyapong has presented an amount of One hundred thousand dollors, $100.000.00 (USD) to the 37 military hospital for the training of medical personnel in India to man the Cardiothoracic Centre which he is constructing for the hospital.
It will be recalled that the PHD iconic Political leader to wit Patriotic, Honesty and Disciplined Legislator in Ghana’s Parliament last year, cut sod for the construction of an 80-bed Cardiothoracic Centre at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
The Centre will include a Cardiothoracic Training Centre and Conference room, VVIP clinic, 3 operating theatres, an Intensive Care Unit, Executive Clinic, a Dialysis Unit, X-Ray unit, a Robotic Unit, a pharmacy and an outpatient department, among other essential units.
The project is funded solely by Hon Kennedy Agyapong and when completed, will be the first in the country to treat cardiovascular diseases.
Vice Admiral Seth Amoama (Ghana Chief of Defence Staff) who received the gesture commended the Member of Parliament for his consistent and immense support for the welfare of the Ghana Armed Forces and the promotion of quality health care in the country.
“Honourable, your kind gesture has demonstrated your unflinching love for the people of Ghana and the Ghana Armed Forces in particular. It has also reinforced your determination to contribute to health care in general and Ghana’s socio economic development.”
