5 years on: More of the Kotoko accident victims are bitter – Survival, Godwin Ablodey (Video)

A survivor of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko motor accident in 2017, Godwin Ablodey said that 5 years after the accident, most of the accident victims are embittered.

The driver of the bus, a number of players, and technical team members suffered degrees of injuries in the accident.

The then equipment officer of the club Kofi Asare, unfortunately, passed away following the accident.

The then-head coach Steve Polack suffered a neck break with a broken leg. Godwin Ablodey who was then the assistant coach of the team got one of his legs broken.

Unfortunately, the bus transporting the team while the accident occurred was not insured.

Godwin Ablodey speaking on Kessben TV noted that compensation and the support which ought to have been provided to the accident victims have not been forthcoming leaving most of the accident victims embittered.

The then-assistant coach noted that it is due to the neglect which has informed his decision to organize fundraising to assist the victims.
