Some leaders in Ghana are interested in LQBTQI because of the money they stand to get – Krachi West MP
Anti-LGTBQI campaigner and member of parliament for Krachi West, Hon Hellen Adwoa Notoso has stated that some top Ghanaian leaders are only interested in the money they stand to get, a reason why most of them have been speaking in support for the LQBTQI.
Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Hon Freddie Blay recently threw his support to the homosexuality act that most Ghanaians are fighting to eradicate in this country.
The National Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddy Blay in a radio interview called for gays to be allowed to express their desired sexual preference without any attack from anyone.
His comment has received a lot of backlash from well-meaning Ghanaians as to why he would publicly make such a statement.
Hon Adwoa Ntoro reckons it was absolutely wrong for the NPP chairman to have made such comments.
The MP who is part of the 10 MPs who drafted the anti-gay bill said there are some top officials who are only interested in the money they are going to get thus condoning the act of LGBTQI in Ghana.
“Their act affects society. We are not going to sit down for them to have their way here. See, all the religions in Ghana do not support it, it is not something we must condone.
For the NPP Chairman to have said it is their right so they should be allowed is very wrong. We cannot just allow anything.
Some leaders are interested in the money which is going to come into their individual pockets over this LQBTQI freedom but I tell you whether they like it or not the anti-gay bill will be passed” She said on Kessben TV’s Maakye.
