Fuel prices: We the private car users are suffering more than the commercial drivers – NPP’s Awal Mohammed admit
National communication member of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Awal Mohammed has bluntly stated that the incessant increment in fuel prices over the last few months is really financially affecting private car users.
Awal Mohammed speaking on Maakye with Kwame Appiah Kubi on Kessben TV stressed that, unlike the commercial drivers who increase transportation fares when fuel prices go up, the private car users, will have to endure.
He noted that for private car users, there is no direct revenue they earn from driving their cars but for the commercial drivers at least they earn something back and therefore are not drained much when the fuel prices go up.
“We the private car users are suffering more than the commercial drivers. for the commercial drivers, they get their revenue from driving therefore the effect is minimal but the private car users, we do not get anything directly as revenue from driving around” Awal stressed.
Many Ghanaian private car users have had to park their private vehicles at home resorting to commercial transportation because of the increasing prices of fuel products over the last few months.
