Minority Leader Osahen Alexander Afenyo-Markin has commenced two fresh defamation suits at the Accra High Court against the Chief Executive of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Mr. Eric Adjei, and the Chief Executive of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), Mr. Sammy Gyamfi.

This was contained in a press statement dated Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from Dehyena Chambers, solicitors for Osahen Afenyo-Markin.

According to the statement signed by F. Paa Kwesi Abaidoo, Esq., following the discontinuance of the suit against Mr. Eric Adjei at the Achimota Circuit Court this morning, a fresh writ, Suit No. GJ/0061/2027, has been filed at the Accra High Court this afternoon on the substantive matter of defamatory statements allegedly made by Mr. Adjei on Peace FM.

In addition, on the firm instructions of Osahen Afenyo-Markin, another writ, Suit No. GJ/0045/2027, was filed on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at the Accra High Court against Mr. Sammy Gyamfi regarding defamatory statements allegedly made during the Government Accountability Series and on Joy FM’s Newsfile programme.

“Although we disagree with the High Court’s earlier decision setting aside our client’s previous writ, this new writ has been issued against the Defendants in accordance with the Court’s latest Interpretation of the rules,” the statement said.
