NPP Russia Branch Urges Defeated Aspirants to Support 2028 Victory

The Russia Branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has congratulated the party’s newly elected national executives and urged all aspirants who lost in the just-ended delegates conference to support the new leadership.

In a statement signed by the branch Chairman, Ebenezer Wepari, the branch commended all unsuccessful aspirants for their courage, commitment and contribution to the party’s democratic process.

Mr Wepari said although elections produce winners and losers, the NPP’s shared vision should remain greater than individual contests.

“I sincerely hope you will come on board and lend your experience, wisdom, ideas and strategic expertise to the elected executives as we work together towards the greater victory in 2028,” he said.

He also called on members to put their differences aside and work towards strengthening the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.

“The election is over. The work continues. The time to unite is now. Let us put our differences behind us, build bridges, support one another and focus on the bigger picture: a stronger NPP and a successful 2028 victory,” he added.

The statement followed the NPP’s national delegates conference held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3, 2026, where new national executives were elected to steer the affairs of the party.

John Boadu was elected National Chairman, while Daniel Titus Glover emerged as National Organiser.

Mavis Hawa Koomson was elected National Women’s Organiser, with Abanga Fuseini Yakubu becoming National Youth Organiser.

Justin Kodua Frimpong retained his position as General Secretary after securing 4,486 votes.

Former Ngleshie Amanfro MP Sylvester Tetteh polled 1,340 votes, while Eugene Boakye Antwi and Dr Charles Dwamena secured 162 and 126 votes respectively.

Mr Abanga Fuseini Yakubu, meanwhile, won the National Youth Organiser position with 1,550 votes.

The NPP Russia Branch also expressed appreciation to external branch executives and delegates who travelled to participate in the conference.

Mr Wepari urged members to return to their respective countries with a renewed commitment to unity, reconciliation and service to the party.

“United in purpose. Stronger in service. Forward together,” he said.
