Mankranso 24hour market: I wish to assure the general public that the school has not been demolished and will not be demolished – Dr Amoakohene

The Ashanti Regional Minister Dr Frank Amoakohen has directed the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly to immediately halt all activities related to the proposed construction of a 24-hour market following a viral video alleging plans to demolish a school facility.
In a statement, the Minister said his attention had been drawn to the video circulating on social media and had subsequently summoned relevant stakeholders for a full review of the matter.
He assured the public that the school had not been demolished and would not be demolished.
The Minister urged residents and the general public to remain calm and disregard claims or speculation until the review is completed and the facts are established.
He stressed that his priority remains the protection of the public interest and ensuring the orderly implementation of development projects across the region.

My attention has been drawn to a viral video circulating on social media concerning alleged plans to demolish a school facility in the Ahafo Ano South West District for the construction of a 24-hour market.
In response, I have directed the District Assembly to immediately halt all related activities. I have also summoned the relevant stakeholders to my office for a full review of the matter.
