Dr. Bawumia engages junior doctors & young medical professionals on healthcare challenges

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has met with the national leadership of the Junior Doctors Association (JDA), the Federation of Ghana Medical Students Association (FGMSA), and presidents of medical students’ associations across the country to discuss key challenges facing young medical professionals.
The engagement focused on issues surrounding medical training, welfare and career progression, with emphasis on finding practical ways to improve the conditions of future healthcare professionals.
Dr. Bawumia stressed the important role young doctors and medical students will play in carrying Ghana’s healthcare system into the future. He said listening to their experiences and concerns is essential to developing policies that respond effectively to the needs of the health sector.
The meeting forms part of his broader engagements with key stakeholders as he seeks ideas and perspectives to help shape policies aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery across Ghana.
