The Government of Ghana, through the Office of the President and in partnership with Burkina Faso, will host the 10th Edition of the HR Café from September 6 to 13, 2026, in Accra.
This marks the first time Burkina Faso’s annual Human Resource Management and Administrative Forum will be held outside the country, a significant step for cooperation and public service innovation between Ghana and Burkina Faso.
This was contained in a press release issued by the Information Services Department (ISD) on September 2, 2026, and signed by the Acting Director, Winifred N. Mahama, Ph.D.
The week-long conference will be held at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) on the theme “Shaping the Future of Work: Human Capital, Artificial Intelligence, and Administrative Cross-Learning between Ghana and Burkina Faso.”
According to the ISD, as African countries adjust to technology, changing workforce needs, and the use of Artificial Intelligence in government, HR Café 2026 will give institutions a chance to share best practices, build public sector skills, and create more flexible, citizen-focused administrations
About 300 people are expected at the summit, including government officials, policymakers, leaders, CEOs, HR professionals, public administration experts, and representatives from universities, civil society, professional groups, and youth organizations.
At the end of the conference, participants are expected to adopt the “Accra Communiqué on Human Resource Development and Administrative Cooperation.” The document will set out a plan for continued cooperation and joint public sector reforms.
