Pastor Prince Sarpong of Emmanuel Assemblies of God Church Asafo YF in Kumasi has urged leaders not to feel threatened by the growth and development of their subordinates.
Speaking on the Kessben Drive with Fante Quoo, Pastor Sarpong encouraged leaders to delegate responsibilities to their subordinates and deliberately prepare them to take over from them in the future.
“Don’t feel threatened by the growth of your subordinates; delegate to them to take over from you in the future,” he advised.
He stressed the importance of mentorship and succession planning, saying effective leaders should focus on developing people who can eventually assume greater responsibilities.
According to Pastor Sarpong, empowering subordinates not only strengthens organisations but also ensures continuity and creates opportunities for the next generation of leaders.
