Receiving the award on behalf of the company, Mrs. Leni Chigbu, Chief Operating Officer of Cassona Global Imaging Limited, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the organizers, partners, healthcare professionals, and the entire Cassona team for their unwavering support and dedication.

“We are proud to be part of building Ghana”. In an emotional acceptance, Mrs. Leni Chigbu described Ghana as her second home and praised the country’s potential.

Reflecting on her journey, she described the award as especially meaningful because, while it marked a return home for her husband, it represented finding a new home for her. Having lived in Ghana since 2022, she said she now considers the country her second home.

Speaking about her decision to relocate, she recalled that her husband was initially concerned she might only stay for a few days before returning to China. However, she saw immense opportunity in Ghana. Drawing on her own experiences growing up in China decades ago, she noted that many aspects of Ghana today remind her of China during that period, reinforcing her belief in the country’s potential.

She added, “For me, I believe that in the foreseeable future, Ghana will be like China is today. I don’t think Ghanaians are any less intelligent than people anywhere else in the world. Ghana should be proud of what it has and use those strengths to build its own future. I’m really proud to be part of that journey.”

Mrs. Leni Chigbu said Cassona is expanding its work in Ghana beyond equipment supply to include clinical research and product development tailored for the region.

Highlighting the team behind the company’s success, she said, “These two have been with me since the company was founded, and some of my employees are here today as well. Dr. Vanessa Apea also joined us this year as our Chief Medical Officer because we’re expanding into R&D and clinical trials to develop better medical equipment and laboratory products tailored to the needs of this region.”

She noted that the company’s mission is rooted in treating Ghana like home.

“I’m proud to say that for Cassona we have a very good team, and I’m proud to say it as someone who is a foreigner. Ghana has never treated me as a foreigner since day one. So, whatever I would do for China, I would do for Ghana as well,” she said.

In her acceptance speech, the Chief Operating Officer said the award belonged not only to Cassona but also to every healthcare professional, hospital, and institution that has entrusted the company to be part of their journey toward delivering quality patient care.
