Jobe Bellingham Promises Borussia Dortmund Fans ‘Great Things’ This Season

Jobe Bellingham has pledged to deliver “great things” for Borussia Dortmund as he prepares for his second season with the Bundesliga club.

The 20-year-old midfielder believes he has moved beyond being viewed as a young prospect and is now ready to take on greater responsibility after a mixed debut campaign in Germany.

Speaking during Dortmund’s pre-season tour of Japan, Bellingham said he now sees himself as an experienced professional.

“I’ve played a lot of games in my career. I’m not a young kid anymore. There are many players younger than me,” he said.

Bellingham is expected to play a key role alongside Felix Nmecha in Dortmund’s midfield this season. The England youngster believes their partnership has developed well and is confident supporters will notice the improvement.

“I don’t want to say too much, but you can expect great things from Felix and me next season,” Bellingham said. “I feel more at home at the club, and our understanding on the pitch keeps getting better.”

To prepare for the new campaign, Bellingham skipped a long summer break and instead focused on improving his fitness in Birmingham, where he trained with familiar coaches while completing Dortmund’s pre-season programme and additional sessions.

The midfielder hopes his hard work will help him establish himself as one of Dortmund’s key players and make a bigger impact in both the Bundesliga and European competitions this season.
