The Base Movement shows compassion to Churches affected by floods

The Base Movement , a Civic and Political Movement with it’s slogan ‘’ Ghana First’’ has paid a working visit to some churches affected by the recent floods and donated sofa set of furnitures as a gesture of compassion to the respective churches in the Greater Accra region.

The churches include, The Apostolic Church , Otodjor (Dansoman), The Methodist Church of the Resurrection , (Kpeehe Circuit), The Presbyterian Church of Ghana , Grace Resurrection SSNIT Flats, Dansoman), House of Revival Ministries International, (Grace Temple of Dansoman and the Church of Pentecost (Otodjor Assembly).

Speaking to the media shortly after the tour, Founder of the Base Movement , Dr. George Oti Bonsu said the gesture forms part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the Movement and as such must come to the affected churches as a result of the devasting floods to properties.

He said the donations falls in line with the mandate of the Movement which ties into its slogan ‘’Ghana First’’, adding that the support will help build and add up to the facilities of the affected churches.

He however advised residents in their communities to periodically desilt their gutters and refrain from dumping refuse indiscriminately particularly in drains and urged City engineers to adopt modern methods of drain construction.

In a related development, Former Independent Presidential aspirant, Mr. Jocab Osei Yeboah said the Base Movement was instituted to buy into the ideology of NPP Presidential Candidate, Kennedy Agyapong and have opened it’s door for him to come and champion the values of the Movement.

According to him, the Base Movement welcomes all Ghanaians as it’s membership forms are available as well as on it’s website, adding that the Movement core mandate is for the youth in areas of job creation and skills development.

‘’Kennedy Agyapong, he stressed is the best to lead the Movement and urgently called on him to respond to their request from members of the Movement of all walks of lives and again urged the youth to rally behind him.

He however advised the public not to use the website of the Movement for other political agenda contrary to the lay down rules and regulations of the Movement and assured the youth of a secured future.
