Andrews Kwame Perprem Elected NPP Belgium Secretary with Landslide Victory

Secures 61 votes to beat opponent who polled 24

Andrews Kwame Perprem has been elected as the new Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Belgium, securing a decisive win in branch elections held today, Saturday, 25th July 2026.

Mr. Perprem polled 61 votes to defeat his opponent Mr Seth D Iduri popularly known as Ranking Member who was the incumbent secured 24 votes.

The election forms part of the NPP’s ongoing restructuring of its overseas branches ahead of the 2028 general elections. Members of the NPP Belgium branch turned out to elect new executives to steer the affairs of the party in the diaspora.

In his acceptance remarks, Mr. Perprem thanked delegates for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work with all members to strengthen the party’s structures in Belgium and mobilize support for the NPP both in the diaspora and back home.

“My focus will be on unity, increased membership drive, and effective communication to ensure the Belgium branch contributes meaningfully to the party’s electoral fortunes in 2028,” he said.

The newly elected executives are expected to be sworn in the coming days.
Party members described the election as peaceful and a demonstration of internal democracy within the NPP’s external branches.
