Arsenal have completed the signing of Greek winger Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge in a deal worth £34 million, making it the biggest transfer fee ever received by a Belgian Pro League club.
The 24-year-old has signed a five-year contract at the Emirates Stadium and arrives as the replacement for Leandro Trossard, who recently joined Besiktas in a £17 million transfer.
Tzolis enjoyed an outstanding campaign with Club Brugge last season, scoring 17 goals and providing 23 assists in just 36 league matches. His impressive performances convinced Arsenal to move quickly to secure his signature.
The former Norwich City winger is known for his versatility, capable of playing both on the wing and as an attacking midfielder. His style of play closely resembles that of Trossard, making him a natural fit for Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Interestingly, Tzolis was also on Crystal Palace’s radar last summer as a potential replacement for Eberechi Eze before Arsenal ultimately made their move.
