We will strike again this week – Kumasi Mayor Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi Zuba warns Asafo Interchange occupants

The Mayor of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi, has issued a strong warning to individuals occupying spaces beneath the Asafo Interchange, stating that the Assembly will intensify its enforcement operations this week to clear the area.

Speaking on Kessben FM. the Mayor said the Assembly would carry out another operation aimed at removing unauthorized occupants from beneath the interchange as part of efforts to improve public safety, sanitation, and order in the city.

He explained that the Assembly had repeatedly cautioned people against using the area as a place of residence and stressed that continued occupation would not be tolerated.

The Mayor urged those currently staying under the interchange to vacate the area before the next enforcement exercise to avoid arrest or other legal consequences. He reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to maintaining public spaces and ensuring that critical infrastructure is used for its intended purpose.

The planned operation forms part of the KMA’s ongoing efforts to enforce city by-laws and improve environmental management across Kumasi.
