Baba Yara’s name remains on the stadium in Kumasi, while Ohene Djan is removed in Accra, Asanteman is so receptive – Chairman Paul Afoko

New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairman hopeful, Paul Afoko, says Asanteman has demonstrated its welcoming and receptive nature by embracing the name Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, while the Ohene Djan name has been removed from the national stadium in Accra.

Speaking  on Kessben FM, Mr. Afoko said the continued use of the Baba Yara name reflects the openness of the people of Asanteman.

He contrasted this with the decision to remove the Ohene Djan name from the Accra Sports Stadium, describing it as an issue worthy of national reflection.
