MoFA to Launch 42nd National Farmers’ Day Celebration on June 30

Ministry unveils theme, host region, and partnership opportunities for 2026 event

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture will officially launch the 42nd National Farmers’ Day Celebration on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 10:00am on the forecourt of the Ministry in Accra.

The launch invites Corporate Ghana, development partners, donor agencies, financial institutions, agribusinesses and other key stakeholders to kick-start activities for this year’s national celebration.

What to expect at the launch

MoFA says the event will unveil the theme for the 42nd edition, announce the host region, and outline the full programme of activities. Details on award categories and other key arrangements will also be released.

For over 40 years, National Farmers’ Day has served as Ghana’s major platform to recognize farmers, fishermen, agricultural workers, agribusinesses, researchers and institutions driving growth in the sector.

Partnerships and sponsorships on the table

The Ministry will also highlight sponsorship and partnership opportunities for organizations interested in supporting Ghana’s agricultural development agenda. Officials say the launch offers stakeholders a direct platform to engage with MoFA and explore areas for collaboration.

“As Ghana continues to pursue sustainable agricultural growth, food security, job creation and value addition, the Ministry recognizes the important role played by the private sector and development partners,” MoFA stated.

The Ministry encouraged all organizations and partners to attend and “take advantage of the opportunities for engagement and partnership.”

“Together, let us celebrate the individuals and institutions whose efforts continue to feed the nation and drive agricultural transformation in Ghana,” the release concluded.
