NPP National Secretariat Orders NPP-USA Branch to Submit Electoral Albums Ahead of June 20 Deadline
General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong directs diaspora branch to provide member data, election timetable, and committee details for branch polls

The National Secretariat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has directed the NPP-USA Branch to submit its complete electoral albums and election documents on or before Saturday, June 20, 2026, as preparations for branch elections intensify.
In a letter signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party instructed the branch to provide the Chairperson of the Branch Elections Committee with three key items.
Key directives to NPP-USA
1. Electoral Albums: A full album of all eligible members, including email addresses and contact telephone numbers.
2. Election Timetable: A proposed election schedule that must strictly conform to guidelines approved by the National Council and the National Executive Committee (NEC).
3. Elections Committee Details: Names and contact details of all members of the Branch Elections Committee to aid coordination.
The directive references an earlier correspondence dated May 31, 2026, and a subsequent communication from the Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee on the conduct of the NPP-USA Branch Elections.
Emphasis on transparency
The National Secretariat stressed the need for “full cooperation and strict compliance” to ensure the process is transparent, credible, and orderly.
“Please accept the assurances of my highest consideration,” the letter concluded.
The communication was addressed to Augustine Yao Agbenaza, NPP-USA Branch, and copied to key party leaders including Ag. National Chairman, former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, former President John Agyekum Kufuor, flag bearer H.E. Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the National Council, NEC, and other national and branch officers.
The June 20 deadline sets the stage for the NPP-USA to conduct its internal elections in line with the party’s constitutional requirements ahead of future national polls.
