Matilda Ohenewaa Birikorang has officially announced her intention to contest for the position of Women Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Abuakwa South Constituency, Eastern Region.

Speaking at her declaration event, Madam Birikorang said her campaign will focus on women’s empowerment, party unity, and grassroots development. She reaffirmed her commitment to the NPP’s core values of opportunity, freedom, justice, and equity.

Key campaign priorities outlined:
1. Boost women’s participation in party activities and decision-making
2. Leadership & mentorship programs to groom the next generation of female leaders
3. Support for vulnerable women in the constituency
4. Promote unity among party members and grassroots structures
5. Strengthen NPP structures to improve electoral prospects in Abuakwa South

“I am dedicated, passionate, and ready to serve with humility and integrity,” Madam Birikorang told delegates. “My goal is to place women at the forefront of the constituency’s growth and development.”

She pledged to work closely with constituency executives, stakeholders, and grassroots members to achieve those goals.

Delegates endorse her bid
Party members and delegates who attended the event described her as a “unifier, trustworthy, hardworking, and loyal party member.” They cited her consistent involvement in party activities before, during, and after elections as proof of her readiness for the role.

The delegates called on party faithful to give her overwhelming support in the upcoming constituency elections, expressing confidence in her ability to advance women’s interests and strengthen the NPP in Abuakwa South.
