Accra Flood Crisis: Leaders must prioritize proper drainage & city planning – Kwasi Mensah demands better urban planning
Following the recent floods in Accra, Kwasi Mensah has called on authorities to adopt a more proactive approach to addressing the city’s recurring flooding challenges.
Speaking on Kessben FM, Mensah stressed the need for leaders to invest in proper drainage systems and improve urban planning to prevent future disasters. He noted that effective drainage infrastructure and well-structured city planning are crucial to mitigating the impact of heavy rains.
According to him, authorities must act decisively and implement long-term solutions rather than waiting for floods to occur before responding.
Mensah’s comments come amid growing concerns over the devastating effects of flooding in parts of Accra, with many residents urging government and city authorities to take urgent steps to address the problem.
