The gap between the rich and the poor is wide, and I intend to bridge the gap with education – Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum

Former Bosomtwe Member of Parliament and former Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has emphasized the need to use education as a tool for reducing inequality and creating opportunities for all.
Speaking on Kessben FM, Dr. Adutwum noted that the gap between the rich and the poor remains a major challenge in society, but expressed confidence that quality education can help bridge the divide.
“The gap between the rich and the poor is wide, and I intend to bridge the gap with education,” he stated.
According to the former Education Minister, access to quality education equips individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to improve their lives and contribute meaningfully to national development. He stressed that educational opportunities should not be determined by a person’s financial background.
Dr. Adutwum highlighted several educational initiatives he has championed over the years, describing them as efforts aimed at empowering young people and promoting social mobility.
He reiterated his commitment to supporting policies and programmes that expand access to education and help create a more equitable society.
