Adutwum defends NPP’s school infrastructure record in Ashanti Region

Former Bosomtwe Member of Parliament and former Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has dismissed claims that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) failed to build schools in the Ashanti Region.

Speaking on Kessben FM, Dr. Adutwum challenged critics to visit several communities, including Asante Akyem Bompata, Manso Nkwanta, Kokofu Asaaman, Bekwai, and Nyinahin, to witness educational infrastructure projects undertaken during the NPP administration.

According to him, the schools constructed in these communities serve as clear evidence of the party’s commitment to improving access to quality education across the region.

“People who say the NPP did not build any school in the Ashanti Region should go to Asante Akyem Bompata, Manso Nkwanta, Kokofu Asaaman, Bekwai and Nyinahin and see for themselves,” he stated.

Dr. Adutwum noted that investment in educational infrastructure remained a key priority during his tenure as Education Minister, adding that numerous projects were implemented to enhance teaching and learning environments.
