When NPP was in Govt, I used to buy electricity for GH¢100, which was lasting for a  month, but now under NDC, GH¢100 lasts for only 3 days – Dr Henry Kwabena Kokofu

NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman hopeful, Henry Kwabena Kokofu, has criticised the rising cost of electricity under the current NDC administration, claiming that prepaid power credits no longer last as they used to during the NPP government.

Speaking on Kessben TV, Kokofu stated that when the NPP was in power, GH¢100 worth of electricity could last him for an entire month. However, he alleged that under the current NDC government, the same amount now lasts for only three days.

According to him, the situation reflects the increasing economic burden on ordinary Ghanaians and the rising cost of living across the country.

Kokofu used the comparison to question the management of utility tariffs and the broader economy, arguing that many households are struggling to cope with increasing expenses.
