Six ‘fake’ National Security Operatives arrested in Central Region
The Agona Swedru District Police Command has arrested six men for allegedly posing as national security operatives and invading S.I Jun Manufacturing Company Limited at Agona Akwakwa near Mankrong Nkwanta in the Central Region.

The Agona Swedru District Police Command has arrested six men for allegedly posing as national security operatives and invading S.I Jun Manufacturing Company Limited at Agona Akwakwa near Mankrong Nkwanta in the Central Region.
According to a police statement issued on Thursday, May 7, the incident occurred on May 6, 2026, around 12:00 p.m., following a distress call that the suspects had stormed the facility in a Toyota Land Cruiser with registration number GW 8887-V.
The suspects were reportedly dressed in various uniforms, with three wearing Ghana Immigration Service camouflage, one in a military uniform, and two in plain clothes. They allegedly claimed to be operatives of National Security and proceeded to assault and harass some Chinese nationals on the company’s premises.
Police said a team was immediately dispatched to the scene upon receiving the report. On arrival, officers found the vehicle parked at the location and discovered three Chinese nationals, identified as Man Guan, Chin Min, and Ma Kaixiang, handcuffed.
“According to the report, three of the suspects were dressed in Ghana Immigration Service camouflage uniforms, one in a military uniform, and the remaining two in mufti. The suspects claimed to be National Security Operatives and were allegedly assaulting and harassing some Chinese Nationals at the company’s premises,” the statement said.
The six suspects, identified as Agyemang Benjamin, 32; Mahama Iddrisu Dawuda Seidu, 48; Ofori Isaac, 35; Adom Bills, 32; Hayford Boafo, 47; and Ato Mchenry, 48, were arrested on the spot.
All six are currently in police custody at the Agona Swedru District Police Headquarters, assisting with investigations.
“The Military Police and the Immigration commands have been contacted, including National Security, to ascertain the identities of suspects”, the statement added.
