Breman Queen Mothers Tackle Indiscipline, Urge BASS Students to Uphold Moral Values

The Queen Mothers of the Breman Traditional Council have taken the fight against indiscipline to the classroom, holding a moral values session with students of Breman Asikuma Senior High School (BASS) in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District.

Led by Nanahemaa Yaa Boamah, Queen Mother of the Breman Traditional Council, the engagement sought to instill discipline and guide teenagers through challenges that often derail their education.

“Indiscipline Is Taking Over”
Speaking to students, Nanahemaa Yaa Boamah said the Queen Mothers could no longer sit unconcerned as indiscipline gains ground in schools across the Central Region.

“This is the time that we, as Queen Mothers in Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District, must take it upon ourselves to engage the senior high schools to impact moral values that will shape their lives,” she stated.

She stressed that discipline must be the students’ top priority, guiding them from now until they complete school. Nanahemaa Yaa Boamah also urged the teenagers to “stand firm and desist from any sexual anxiety,” noting the many challenges they face at their age.

School Head Commends Initiative
Headmistress of Breman Asikuma SHS, Madam Kukua Robertson, expressed gratitude to the Queen Mothers for the “great educational talk.” She charged the students to adhere to the counsel shared by Nanahemaa Yaa Boamah.

Traditional Leaders Step In
The engagement forms part of efforts by traditional authorities in the district to complement school management in curbing rising indiscipline and promoting moral uprightness among students.
