NPP Chairman Hopeful Rallies Polling Station Aspirants Ahead of Vetting in Sefwi Akontombra

Thompson Owusu Amoako calls for unity, discipline as constituency begins vetting April 25–30

Sefwi Akontombra, Western North – April 24, 2026 – As the New Patriotic Party prepares to vet polling station executive aspirants in the Sefwi Akontombra Constituency, chairman hopeful Thompson Owusu Amoako has urged contenders to approach the process with “confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of purpose.”

Vetting for all polling station aspirants is scheduled to run from Friday, April 25 to Wednesday, April 30, 2026. The exercise is a key step in reorganizing the party’s grassroots structures ahead of future elections.

In a statement issued Thursday morning, Mr. Owusu Amoako described the vetting not as a routine procedure, but as “a defining moment to build a vibrant, united, and winning NPP at the grassroots.”

Call for Leadership and Respect
“Let us show leadership, respect for one another, and unwavering commitment to the party we all believe in,” he told aspirants. “Together, we can energize our base and position our constituency for victory.”

Mr. Owusu Amoako, who is seeking the mandate as Constituency Chairman, pledged to work “hand-in-hand” with all elected polling station executives if given the nod.

“I, Thompson Owusu Amoako, stand ready to work hand-in-hand with each of you as I seek your mandate as Constituency Chairman. Together, we will build a stronger, more united, and formidable NPP in Sefwi Akontombra,” he said.

“Victory Is Within Our Reach”
He ended his message with a rallying call: “Victory is within our reach—let’s rise and claim it!”

The vetting will determine which aspirants qualify to contest in the upcoming polling station elections, the foundation of the NPP’s organizational structure. Polling station executives play a critical role in mobilization, campaigning, and election-day operations.

Party officials in the constituency have called for a peaceful, orderly process and reminded aspirants to comply with all guidelines issued by the national and regional party.
