Michael Kwasi Aidoo cracks down on land encroachment at Kentinkrono CHPS Compound

The Member of Parliament for Oforikrom, Michael Kwasi Aidoo, has taken steps to address growing concerns over land encroachment at the Kentinkrono CHIPS Compound.

According to the MP, portions of land designated for the Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) facility at Kentinkrono have been unlawfully occupied, threatening the expansion and effective delivery of healthcare services in the area. Hon. Aidoo described the situation as unacceptable, stressing the importance of protecting public lands meant for critical infrastructure.

During a visit to the site, he engaged local authorities and community members, warning encroachers to vacate the land or face legal action. He also indicated that the matter has been referred to relevant state agencies for enforcement and possible prosecution.

The Kentinkrono CHPS Compound plays a vital role in providing primary healthcare to residents of the Oforikrom constituency. Health officials say encroachment on the facility’s land could hinder future development plans, including the addition of new structures and services.

Hon. Aidoo reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding public assets and ensuring that the community continues to benefit from accessible and improved healthcare services.
