Despite the influx of free social media platforms, producing music now is more difficult & expensive than then – Prophet Ernest Acheampong

Legendary Ghanaian gospel musician Ernest Acheampong has stated that music production today is more challenging and expensive despite the rise of free social media platforms.

Speaking on Kessben Drive on Kessben FM with Fante Quoo, the veteran artist explained that although digital platforms have made music distribution easier, the cost of producing quality content has significantly increased.

According to him, modern production demands higher technical standards, better equipment, and professional input, all of which come at a cost.

He added that competition in the industry has intensified, making it necessary for artists to invest more to remain relevant.

Ernest Acheampong noted that while social media offers exposure, it does not eliminate the financial burden associated with creating high-quality music. His comments have sparked discussions about the evolving challenges within Ghana’s music industry.
