Indiscipline, Sanitation, and Revenue Generation – Asokore Mampong MCE Hon. Ben Abdallah Alhassan reveals major challenges

The Municipal Chief Executive for Asokore Mampong, Hon. Ben Abdallah Alhassan, has identified indiscipline, poor sanitation, and revenue generation as the three major challenges facing the municipality.

Speaking in an interview on Kessben FM with Wofa Kofi Appiah, the MCE expressed concern over rising cases of indiscipline, which he said continue to hinder development efforts in the area. He stressed the need for residents to adhere to laws and regulations to promote order and progress.

On sanitation, Hon. Alhassan described the situation as a persistent problem, noting that improper waste disposal and lack of public cooperation have contributed to environmental challenges within the municipality. He called for collective action to improve cleanliness and public health.

Touching on revenue generation, the MCE highlighted difficulties in mobilizing funds locally to support developmental projects. He indicated that low compliance in tax and rate payments has affected the assembly’s ability to deliver essential services.

Hon. Alhassan assured residents of his commitment to addressing these issues through stricter enforcement of by-laws, public education, and improved revenue collection strategies.

He also urged stakeholders, including community leaders and residents, to support the assembly’s efforts in tackling these challenges to ensure sustainable development in Asokore Mampong.
