Buoho market demolished by the local assembly

The Buoho Market has been demolished by the local assembly following the expiration of an earlier ultimatum issued to traders to vacate the area.
According to Kessben FM reporter Bright Adu Boakye, the traders had been given notice before the Easter period to relocate to a newly constructed market facility provided by the assembly. However, many of them reportedly refused to comply with the directive.
The assembly proceeded with the demolition exercise to clear the old market space, citing plans to improve infrastructure and ensure better trading conditions.
Reports indicate that the new market was built to accommodate the affected traders, but resistance to relocation led to the enforcement action.
The development has left several traders displaced, with some expressing frustration over the demolition, while authorities insist the move was necessary to facilitate development and maintain order.
