A member of the NPP communications team, Dr. Keskine Owusu Poku, has criticized the NDC over its posture on LGBTQ issues, accusing the party of misleading Ghanaians prior to assuming power.
Speaking on the matter, Dr. Owusu Poku used a local proverb to illustrate his point, saying, “If you don’t tie your goat well, you will always be apologizing to people,” suggesting that the NDC is now facing backlash due to its earlier positions.
He argued that the party failed to be transparent with the public on the issue before coming into government, and is now struggling to manage the consequences of its actions.
His comments add to the ongoing political debate surrounding governance, accountability, and the handling of sensitive social issues in the country.
