Engineers and Planners winning Damaang Bid: If they can do the Job, That’s enough – Frimpong Supports Contract Award

Former Sekyere Central DCE, Hon. Akuoko Frimpong, has defended the award of the Damaang Mine contract to Engineers and Planners, stating that competence should outweigh concerns about personal relationships.

Speaking on Kessben FM with Wofa Kofi Appiah, he argued that there is nothing inappropriate if the company is qualified to execute the project, even if its owner is related to the President.

“If they are capable and can do the job, there is nothing wrong if the president is his brother,” he said, emphasizing that merit should remain the key factor in contract awards.
