Those who compare themselves are not wise – Vincent Kankam (Sofo Kankam)

Rev. Vincent Kankam has urged listeners to avoid comparing themselves to others, describing the habit as both unwise and harmful to personal growth.
Speaking on his “Food for Thought” show on Kessben FM, Sofo Kankam emphasized that constant comparison can lead to dissatisfaction, low self-esteem, and unnecessary pressure.
Quoting biblical principles, Rev. Kankam noted that “those who compare themselves are not wise,” stressing that individuals are uniquely created with different purposes and journeys.
He encouraged listeners to focus on self-improvement rather than measuring their progress against others.
“It’s unhealthy comparison, let’s do away with that,” he said, adding that contentment and gratitude are key to living a fulfilled life. According to him, embracing one’s own path fosters peace of mind and allows people to grow at their own pace.
