Minority in Parliament led by Odotobri MP, Lawyer Anthony Mmieh petitions  OSP, CHRAJ, CID over GoldBod sole sourcing deal with Stan Dogbe

The Minority in Parliament, led by the Member of Parliament for Odotobri, Lawyer Anthony Mmieh, has petitioned key state investigative bodies to probe an alleged sole-sourcing contract involving GoldBod and Stan Dogbe.

The petition, addressed to the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, calls for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deal.

According to the Minority, the contract raises concerns about transparency, procurement processes, and potential breaches of public sector regulations. They are urging the respective institutions to establish whether due process was followed and to hold any persons found culpable accountable.

He noted that the petition forms part of the Minority’s oversight responsibility to ensure good governance.

The development is expected to intensify public scrutiny over procurement practices and the use of sole sourcing in government transactions.
