Security Service Recruitment: Refund monies of applicants who were not selected – Rev. Ntim Fordjour tells NDC Government

Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, Member of Parliament for Assin South and a member of the minority in Parliament, has called on the NDC government to refund monies paid by applicants who were not selected after purchasing recruitment forms.
Speaking to the media, Rev. Fordjour argued that it would be fair for the government to reimburse applicants who paid for the forms but were ultimately unsuccessful in the selection process.
According to him, reports indicate that about 500,000 people purchased application forms, yet only around 5,000 applicants were selected.
Rev. Fordjour described the situation as worrying, stressing that many of the applicants spent money with the hope of securing employment. He therefore urged the government to consider refunding the fees paid by those who were not selected.
He added that such a move would demonstrate fairness and sensitivity to the financial challenges faced by many young people seeking employment.
The Minority MP also called for greater transparency in future recruitment exercises to ensure public confidence in the process.
