Citizen Ato Dadzie Urges Patience Over Government Appointments

The General Secretary of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Citizen Ato Dadzie, has called for patience among party faithful and the public regarding government appointments, stating that it is still early for grievances to escalate.

Speaking on recent concerns about the distribution of opportunities within the government at Kessben Maakye, the GCPP General Secretary noted that the President was widely praised when he began announcing appointments, particularly because some individuals who had long been sidelined were brought closer to government.

However, he admitted that frustrations are beginning to emerge among some party supporters who feel neglected despite their years of dedication to party activities.

Citizen Dadzie said many grassroots members often only need information when they reach out to appointees but do not necessarily need financial or material support from the political success of the party.

According to him, such situations can easily breed discontent among loyal supporters who have worked tirelessly for the party over the years.

He explained that when a political party comes to power, committed members naturally expect the party office and leadership to consider their livelihoods and welfare.

Citizen Dadzie further warned that dissatisfaction could grow if long-serving members hear that relatively unknown individuals are receiving significant financial support while they struggle.

He noted that some loyal members who may have never received substantial financial assistance in their lifetime could feel discouraged if they learn that others are reportedly receiving as much as $3,000 weekly.

Despite these concerns, Citizen Dadzie stressed that it is still early days for the government, urging party members to remain calm while processes continue to unfold.
