Lawyer Abass Nurudeen gains overwhelming support within the NDC to replace Sammy Gyamfi as Communications director

Lawyer Abass Nurudeen had declared his intention to contest for the position of National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), a move that is already attracting growing support from some members of the party.

His declaration signals a possible challenge to the current National Communications Officer, Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi, who has held the position since 2018.

Following the announcement, several party supporters and grassroots members have expressed confidence in Lawyer Nurudeen’s ability to lead the party’s communication front. They cite his experience in political communication, consistent media presence, and efforts in promoting the party’s agenda, particularly in the Ashanti Region.

Supporters believe his track record in defending the party’s policies on radio and television platforms has positioned him as a strong contender for the national role.

While the race is still in its early stages, political observers say Lawyer Nurudeen’s declaration has already sparked conversations within the party about the future direction of the NDC’s communications team.
