Ghana’s 69th Independence Day: The future belongs to those who prepare for it – President Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has urged Ghanaians to focus on preparation and long-term planning as the country marks its 69th Independence Day celebration.
Delivering his address during the national event, President Mahama emphasized that the progress and prosperity of the nation depend on how well its citizens and leaders prepare for the future.
“The future belongs to those who prepare for it,” the President stated, calling on Ghanaians to embrace discipline, hard work, and strategic thinking in building a stronger nation.
According to him, Ghana’s independence should not only be a moment of celebration but also a time for reflection on the country’s journey and the responsibilities required to secure a better future for the next generation.
President Mahama stressed the importance of investing in education, innovation, and national development initiatives to position the country for sustainable growth. He noted that preparation today will determine Ghana’s ability to compete and thrive in an increasingly changing global environment.
He further encouraged young people to take advantage of opportunities to develop their skills and contribute positively to national development.
The Independence Day celebration brought together government officials, traditional leaders, security services, students, and citizens to commemorate Ghana’s freedom and renew their commitment to the country’s progress.
