NAIMOS Soldier Shot in Galamsey Operation Makes Full Recovery

Lance Corporal Morris Addae, a member of the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) task force, has fully recovered from a gunshot wound sustained during an anti-galamsey operation in January.
Addae was shot in the thigh on January 20th while on an operation in Dormaa Central Municipality, Bono Region, and was treated at St. Matthew Catholic Hospital, Ampenkuro.
After weeks of care and rehabilitation, he is now in good health and preparing to rejoin his colleagues to continue the fight against illegal mining.
Addae expressed gratitude to the sector minister, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, NAIMOS leadership, and well-wishers for their support during his recovery.
NAIMOS Director of Operations, Colonel Dominic Buah, visited Addae and commended his courage and dedication to duty, wishing him well.
NAIMOS remains committed to combating illegal mining in line with President John Dramani Mahama’s vision.
