Lack of urgency and negligence at Ghanaian hospitals: Kwabena Owusu Dankwah (KOD) calls for attitudinal change among Health officials

Kwabena Owusu Dankwah, popularly known as KOD, has called for a strong attitudinal shift among some health professionals to help curb negligence in hospitals.
Speaking on Kessben FM during a programme hosted by Wofa Kofi Appiah, KOD stressed the need for healthcare workers to develop a deeper appreciation for human life in the discharge of their duties.
According to him, while infrastructure challenges remain a concern in the health sector, the mindset and responsiveness of some officials also play a critical role in patient outcomes.
He noted that preventable deaths and cases of alleged negligence could be reduced if there is greater commitment, empathy, and professionalism within health facilities.
KOD urged authorities to prioritize continuous training, supervision, and accountability to ensure that patients receive timely and compassionate care.
