Kwasi Mensah blames kickbacks for poor roads and substandard projects in Ghana

Kwasi Mensah has stated that the prevalence of bad roads and poorly executed public projects in the country is largely due to kickbacks.
Speaking on Kessben FM with host Wofa Kofi Appiah, Mensah claimed that corruption in the form of kickbacks continues to undermine quality infrastructure delivery.
According to him, some contractors compromise standards in order to recoup money allegedly paid to secure contracts, resulting in substandard roads and unhealthy or poorly constructed public facilities. He argued that this practice not only wastes public funds but also puts lives at risk.
Kwasi Mensah called for stricter monitoring systems, transparency in the awarding of contracts, and stronger accountability measures to ensure that taxpayers receive value for money.
