High Electricity & Water Tariffs under Mahama: Ghanaians are indeed missing Akufo-Addo and the NPP – Hon. Kwadwo Banahene Bediako

A former District Chief Executive for Sekyere Central District, Kwadwo Banahene Bediako, has criticized what he describes as high electricity and water tariffs under President John Dramani Mahama, saying many Ghanaians are beginning to appreciate the previous administration.

Speaking on Kessben FM in an interview with Wofa Kofi Appiah, the former DCE argued that rising utility costs have placed significant pressure on households and businesses.

According to him, the current economic climate has led some citizens to reflect on policies implemented under former President Nana Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which he claims offered relatively better relief in the energy and water sectors.

“Ghanaians are indeed missing Akufo-Addo and the NPP,” Mr. Bediako stated, contending that tariff adjustments in the past were managed with greater consideration for consumers.
