Gospel musician and former hiplife artiste Yaw Siki has declared he will never accept any financial proceeds from his controversial hit song Wop3 Dodo, no matter the amount involved.
Speaking in an interview on Kessben FM’s drive time show, the artiste admitted he regrets composing and performing the track, explaining that it was inspired by his personal lifestyle at the time.
According to him, the song reflected a past marked by promiscuity and was created mainly to gain attention and break into the music industry as a young musician. He recounted having to queue to access commercial sex workers *”ashawo”*, masterbating and constantly watching pornographic materials.
He stated that even if he is offered huge sums of money to perform the song today, he would firmly decline.
Yaw Siki explained that the title “Wop3 Dodo” symbolised his excessive sexual desire, adding that the lyrics mirrored choices he now regrets after undergoing personal transformation.
The musician emphasised that his decision is final and forms part of his commitment to his new life direction, distancing himself completely from the song despite its popularity.
