The personal Aide to Kennedy Agyapong, Lawyer Kobby Amoah has confirmed that Kennedy Agyapong remains a member of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), dismissing speculations about his potential independent bid for 2028.
Lawyer Kobby stated on Kessben TV’s Digest Show that Hon.Kennedy Agyapong has invested significantly in the party making it unlikely for him to leave.
He clarified that ”The Base Party” refers to a group that supported Kennedy Agyapong during his primaries.
Kobby also mentioned that the leader of “The Base Party “,Dr. Oti Bonsu has been a part of Hon. Kennedy’s campaign team and has been involved in his vision.
According to him, Kennedy Agyapong is a confident and hardworking individual.
Kobby further stated that Hon. Kennedy has not visited the former Vice President Bawumia after the elections but other parliamentarians have done so.
He warned that the Agyapong camp refrained from releasing a press statement to avoid counterfeit statements circulation.
Kobby emphasized that ”The Base Party” wants Kennedy to lead them, but clarifications have been made regarding his membership status.
